Hop To It Challenge

You can find this challenge here at Dustin's blog. CJ wanted to wear the little chick as a necklace so I ran to Michael's and bought shrinky dink material and went to work. She loves them! We made a few more charms for her so that she can change them out during the month! I'm glad that I saw this challenge because we had a great time making jewelry together!

Dragonfly glass block

CJ had to have a purple night light to go with the rest of the purple in her room. The design was a bit of a pain to lay right but it was worth it! I can't remember who I got the design from but thank you!

Book sling

CJ loves to read in bed but her books always seem to fall down between the wall and her bed by morning. I love Family Fun magazine and they had the answer to the problem. The Book Sling was the perfect solution and really easy to make! Thanks for stopping by.

Pillowcase dress with bows

I love how this dress turned out! I just love the strawberry pattern! CJ is going to look so cute at storytime this week! Thanks for stopping by!

Hairbows

I had alot of fun making these for CJ. It was really easy too. I bought the dowels at Michaels and used regular clothes pins to hold the ends once the ribbon is wrapped around the dowels. You bake the ribbon on a cookie sheet covered in foil @275 for 25 minutes.(My oven is off so I used 250 for 20 minutes and it worked just fine.) Once they are cool just unwrap them and spray with starch. Once they were dry I cut them to the lenth I needed. For these I just cut after every eighth loop. I used fray check on the ends when I finished and I used cross stich floss to sew them together and then hot glued them to a covered alligator clip. The orange and black ones are for her soccer team and the rest are to match her outfits. Thanks for stopping by.
